Laminated Benchtops

Laminate is the perfect choice for your benchtop and surfaces all around us

Kitchen and bathroom benchtops, a laundry room top, the top of a cabinet in a walk in closet, a desktop, a garage workbench, office shelving, a table in the children’s playroom, and much more for your home. For your business, an office lunch room, a reception counter, benchtops in the doctor’s or dentist’s office, bar and restaurant table tops, hospital nursing stations and laboratory worktops, and so much more.

Laminate benchtops have come a long way since their first inception.  Surface finishes on some of these products are five times more scratch resistant, and three times more wear resistant, than the benchtops of previous years. And of course all laminate is nonporous and easy to maintain.

Ordering your Benchtop with Arrow Wood Products

Step 1 - Measure your Benchtop
When measuring your benchtop, make sure to double check the overall lengths & widths of your cabinets to ensure your benchtop is ordered correctly.   When measuring your lengths & widths, you must allow for any overhang required past the front and ends of your cabinets. (This overhang is normally 20mm but varies to suit personal choice).

Step 2 - Select your Laminate
Laminate has a wide range of colours, designs and textures that can imitate more expensive materials such as timber, stone and even concrete.   When placing your order with AWP you need to nominate the brand, colour and finish of the laminate you wish to use. We can then advise on the price and suitability of that laminate for your job.

Selecting your benchtop colour can be done on-line via the various supplier websites or in person at our showroom in Tullamarine.  We do not display supplier colours on our website as they are constantly being changed or updated.

When selecting the finish or surface texture of your benchtop, please bear in mind how durable you need your benchtop to be. While the Gloss finishes look amazing, they are sometimes not practical for high use areas such as kitchen breakfast bars.

Step 3 - Finalise your design, complete and submit our order form (download here)
Please make sure all areas of the order form are filled in i.e. Brand, Colour, Finish, Edge Profile, Measurements and contact details.

Notes:

  • Some laminate colours and finishes will postform (roll) better than others and therefore will not be available in all profiles.

  • Like paints, there are several shades of the same colour “ white is not just white”. Thus we need the exact name of the colour, as listed by the supplier when you place your order.

  • When researching colours online ensure you are on Australian sites, some laminate colours are only available overseas.
